2112 BMW M5

Review:

Just a few months before the car’s official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, BMW has decided it was time to reveal the official specs on the fifth generation M5 sports sedan. After seeing the first concept version at the 2011 Shanghai Motor Show, now we can see the M5 in all its glory. And we sure like what we are seeing.
The M5 name was used for the first time back in 1984, but since then, the car has evolved into an impressive sedan that combines track potential with the comprehensive practicality of a luxurious business sedan. The new generation brings a high-revving 4.4-liter V8 engine with an M TwinPower Turbo package that delivers an impressive 560 hp at 6,000 – 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 502 lb-ft from 1,500 rpm. The model will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and, when the speed limiter is removed, is capable of hitting an impressive top speed of 190 mph. Despite these impressive performance numbers, the car will deliver an estimated fuel economy of 28.5 mpg.

Miguel Galluzzi and Pierre Terblanche capture the essence of Moto Guzzi and inject it into motorcycles to drool over, designed with one thing in mind: pure riding pleasure.

Miguel Galluzzi e Pierre Terblanche - two of the most brilliant motorcycle designers of all time - teamed up to present us with their styling exercises centred around the very essence of the Moto Guzzi brand - its legendary in-line twin-cylinder engine.

The V12 prototypes have been developed around the 1,200 cc 4-valve 90-degree V-twin from Mandello, so much so that they were even named after it.

This is Moto Guzzi's tribute to the one engine that turned the "Italian eagle" brand into a myth of motorcycling and to its unique character. It is a statement of Moto Guzzi's commitment to keep developing and improving its flagship engine for the years to come.

For the RC8, KTM brought their riders to the design table as well as the best technicians and designers. Aim: The ultimate weapon for am-bitious street-fighters. That means: A radical concentration of its mass around the compact 75° V2. Innovative details are everywhere: The seat is the tank, keeping fuel at the machine’s centre of gravity. Dry sump lubrication allows the entire exhaust system to sit precisely where it has the least influence on dynamics. Directly under the engine. The fairing is designed to produce: The least possible crosswind drag. The result: No crosswind oscillation, spell-binding agility, and aggres-sive steering ability.

2012 Harley-Davidson Sportster XR1200x Spec & Pics

Ask and ye shall receive.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Good things come to those who wait.
Patience is a virtue…
Those cliché adages sum up perfectly the American motorcycle market’s experience with a specific Harley-Davidson model: the XR1200.

When Harley announced in late ’07 the XR1200 as a 2008 European-only model, the decision seemed confounding to Americans who couldn’t buy the Americana-infused XR.

2012 Suzuki GS150R Latest Spy Pics

2012 Suzuki GS150R (6)
For me, personally, the Suzuki GS150R is one of the better 150cc bikes around. Unless you want visual aggression, the GS150 actually makes a lot of sense. It’s got an utterly smooth engine, feels big and substantial when you swing a leg over the saddle, has a six speed box, has a nicely set up suspension and good power too. It’s just that no one is looking at those qualities in that segment, people want sporty looks, sharp design – stuff like clip-ons and rear-sets, you know!
Suzuki, however, seem to be going ahead with the GS150R without altering its DNA much. A fan has recently put up some spy pictures of the upcoming bike on the brand’s FB page. The facelift, in typical Indian bike OEM fashion comprises sticker job, some cosmetic upgrades, and, well, nothing else.

2011 Plymouth Road Runner Concept Car

2011-road-runner

If you love the 2010 Dodge Challenger, you’re going to love this concept of the old Plymouth Road Runner. Who is the artist of this new famous concept you might ask? The artist is Michael Leonhard, a car designer from Vienna Austria. The man is definitely talented that’s for sure. The rumor going around the web is this rendering could be the new Plymouth Road Runner for 2011. I’m skeptic to say the least, especially since Chrysler just filed bankruptcy. I don’t think the car company can afford to make another muscle car, I think Chrysler is concentrating all its energy in making an electric car or hydrogen car instead. If the muscle car does come out though, I’m definitely for it, I would love to see another retro muscle car out on the road. Every time I see a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro or a 2010 Dodge Challenger, my head spins and my eyes just gawk in amazement.

2011 Honda CR-Z Mugen RR concept‎

Honda has just pulled the wraps off an even more extreme variant of its sporty hybrid at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom: the Honda CR-Z Mugen RR concept.
Honda CR-Z Mugen RR

The CR-Z Mugen RR features wildly aggressive exterior styling with integrated carbon fibre components, including a new gaping maw of a front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper and high rear wing. The extra wide front fenders look like they've been yanked right off the wide-bodied Subaru WRX, and terminate abruptly behind the 18-inch hyper-black wheels. Finally, the Double-R has been slathered in a particularly sherbety shade of orange paint that is matched by an equally orange interior.
Not much is mentioned about what's happening under the hood, but if the 150kW Mugen CR-Z approaches Civic Type R performance, we assume that the more hard core, race-prepped CR-Z Mugen RR is analogous to the extremely rare Civic Mugen RR.
We think that the CR-Z Mugen RR Concept has about as much of a chance of reaching a dealership as an orange creamsicle does on hot asphalt, but we live in hope.

Honda Civic 2011 First Look

The new model is believed to be slightly smaller and lighter than the outgoing models.Honda's Eco Assist technology will be added to most models, and will become the first gasoline-only powered Honda to employ such technology in North America. It is an information system to help the driver adopt a more fuel-efficient driving style, and is proven to improve fuel economy by about 10% for Honda's hybrid vehicles in Japan.

Toyota Supra FT HS Concept Car

Toyota FT HS Concept
The Toyota FT-HS is a hybrid sports car concept introduced at the 2007 North American International Auto Show. Calty Design Research designed the concept and suggests that it could fill the place of the Toyota Supra.FT-HS stands for Future Toyota Hybrid Sport.
The goal of the rear wheel drive hybrid powertrain is to produce 400 hp (300 kW) and achieve 0-60 mph in around 4 seconds. This is accomplished by combining a 3.5 L V6 and an electric motor in a manner similar to the Lexus GS450h. Unlike the GS (and virtually all other current hybrids), a production version of the FT-HS would make use of a capacitor system designed specifically for quick charging and increased performance. Since the debut of this concept, Toyota has exhibited such technology in the Supra HV-R race car.The 2+2 vehicle features a unique retractable roof similar to a targa top. The rear seats would be folded down when the roof is retracted however. In spite of the FT-HS being only a concept vehicle, Toyota's desired starting price for such a vehicle is stated to be in the mid $30,000 range.
An August 2008 article from Automotive News indicated that a production version was no longer being considered. However, a January 2009 article from Edmunds Inside Line states that "the V6 Supra replacement is still in the pipeline and is set for an early 2011 debut"
